Carolanna Parlato has exhibited her work in New York and nationally. She received her MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. Parlato has been written about in Art in America, the New York Times, the Boston Globe, the Brooklyn Rail, artcritical.com and the New York Sun. Solo exhibitions of her paintings have been shown at the Islip Art Museum, the Phatory (NYC) and Elizabeth Harris Gallery in NYC. Her work was included in the exhibition “Pour” which was organized by Florida Atlantic University and travelled to Asya Geisberg Gallery and the Leslie Heller Workspace, NYC. She has exhibited in numerous exhibitions at venues such as the Hunterdon Art Museum (New Jersey), the Brooklyn Museum, BRIC, the Dedalus Foundation Gallery at Industry City (Brooklyn, NY) OH+T Gallery(Boston) and Amy Simon Fine Art (Westport, CT). Parlato’s paintings are included in the collections of the Brooklyn Museum, the Francis Greenburger Collection, Islip Art Museum, Pfizer Inc. and several private collections. She lives and works in her hometown Brooklyn.
